Hi !  Nice to see you!
Honey, We're Killing the Kids!

My website is Omaisa.com.  I live overseas and have taught children in China, Korea, Thailand, Laos and Taiwan, and have visited schools in Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, and more.  One thing I found is that most students in these countries work harder physically than we do.

The students, more than a billion of them, often ride bike or walk to school, clean their own schools, have mandatory fitness drills daily, and they are more fit.  Some private schools do not make the children clean, and students are less in shape.  Putting activity back into schools is a must, for all ages.  Better bodies also have better brains.

I see a reverse brain-drain - a fitness drain where people leave America in pursuit of active, beautiful life partners, because kids in the US watch tv, live a sedentary life at home and school, have little space to play outside, and eat improperly.

I am 38 years old, and despite having a special person in my hometown of Ann Arbor, MI, I didn't start a physical relationship or get married, because of this.  I am repulsed by extra pounds - but attracted by the slender beauties I meet here overseas.  (I wasn't the unfit one, I might add.)

We are so focussed and "America-centered" even in our media.  Our culture rejects making children work physically in school.  In other countries, tardy or misbehaving students have to do more cleaning and physical work -- good training for their probably future careers.  Yet we put people in detention, where they sit and ponder the stillness, a good training for life behind bars.

America has one of the highest incarceration rates in the world -perhaps the highest.  While that may make us safer and create a better economy, we could prevent some of the delinquency if young children learned important real-life lessons about bacteria, disease, and pests, and simple tasks such as cleaning and washing, building maintenance and similar tasks.

As teachers are surely overtasked, cleaning monitors are needed.  These are older and better students who can instruct and report on the rest.  We are not dead yet.  We can still learn from other people's mistakes, or successes.  Why don't we learn from our own in this case, and get our kids more active and life-educated?

IMPORTANT ADDRESSES
Imagine a person who made everyone extremely powerful to create good in the universe.

What would they do?  They would allow each person's activities to be documented:  we could know who was responsible for good, for bad.  We could spot personality trends and stop the cat-molester or the drunk driver before they took their actions.  Nobody would be lost in the shuffle of paperwork, or escaping overseas with stolen goods.

Also, they would bring all locations around the world into communication - allowing anyone to reach out and make friends, correct wrongs, see the conditions...

They would prevent overpopulation: bringing out notice of those who have too many children, who are unfit to feed or properly care for children, yet do it anyway.

They would point out that there is a totalitarianism of the majority: a tryranny that prevents peaceful, unique people from operating as they will without interference.  This is social pressure: and perhaps we are the offendors.

For example, there is the idea that education brings us excellence in society, and school is mandatory:  yet is it documented?  Do people who go to school really act more justly?  Or are people good or bad on their own, school or not?  Must we expropriate to build nuclear power plants, highways, schools and more, and control to the extent we do?  Cannot we return to a more natural existence, with less pollution and consumption?  The decline of oil availability may cause this.

Perhaps we could have fewer children, accept fewer goods and have more grass, trees and clean air in our lives.
