The Future of Consumption (continuted)

What age people buy this product?  A chart or graph can show you.  What was the satisfaction rate?  That can be seen on the screen.  For example, 90% said they were satisfied, 5% very satisfied, and 5% unsatisfied.  What were the complaints?  The defect rates?  How long does the product last, on average?  Is it the best value?

Some of this information is availabe now through independent consumer magazines and web-sites.  But in the future, nearly all businesses will have websites--and a link to an independent information site.  You can know how happy you will be in the future with your buying decision now.

This will help you avoid buying bad products.  People won't waste money on inferior goods, and prices for these goods will drop.  That will help better products dominate, and save money and resources.

Get what you need, and didn't know existed.  Communicate with manufacturers and other business people in real-time with a web-camera.  Find out what you need to know to influence others for the better.  What do you do if your product is broken, or ready to be trashed?

Environmental impact information, recycling information, source of goods..  ..so much can be online to make our world better.

Where is this information now?  In the hands of the producers and regulatory agencies.  If they care to provide information to a central association, manufacturers and service providers can help improve all our lives.  That improves their reputation.

Where is the website that allows you to buy anything, from anyone who sells it, anywhere in the world?  And tells you what the quality is, the cost, and how soon you can get it?  Let's make that together.

Please encourage those you do business with:  we can do something with technology that wasn't possible before.  It wasn't thought of before.  Ask them: do they support sharing knowledge?
